I am going to have Acupuncture for my depression - anyone done this??

i spent a fortune on transactional analysis in the early 90's.

dont regret one penny of it.. i have had a paralysing depression now for about two years.

i cant write, dont enjoy my job anymore, and uninterested generally.recently i have even started saying "jehovah let me die" as i get into bed.. i considered going down the counselling route.

As a JW, did you eat at any religious restaurant?

there is a new coffee shop in my town - it is called the Downtown House of Prayer and Adonai's Coffeshop. I guarantee no local dub would ever set foot in there. Thankfully, I am now free to eat the demon possessed scones and drink the evil coffee

Thank GAWD I'm not a jw anymore! My dear husband has my coffee poured and on the table before I stagger out of the bathroom every morning.

Just Ron learned long ago to get up before me and get the coffee going. I'm not fully human until I had my first cup of coffee. He knows to not even talk to me until he pours my second cup. If something bad happens and he can't make the coffee, he goes out and buys me some at McDs or Hucks.

while i have a bachelors and advanced degree from a very well-respected university, it makes me cringe when i see what people spend (or think they need to spend) to get a college degree.

having taken a few non-traditional steps to get my education, here's a few thoughts and ideas to think about if your kids are getting to be college age or if you (like many jw's) are thinking about going to college later in life:.

1. community colleges are a bargain!.

It also is a good idea to comparison shop among the four year colleges. Find out exactly how much tuition and fees are, and then relate that to how well respected the particular degree you are pursuing will be from each school. There may be a less expensive school that is more respected in a particular field than more expensive places with overall "better" reputations.

I had no idea that dubs were not supposed to eat hot dogs or wear ankle length skirts. I guess that explains it all - Jay Hoover has rejected me for my love of Oscar Mayer all natural weiners and my long skirts.

What is latest WT quote on donating blood ?

i no longer have access to wt lit or cd, as i burned all my bound volumes one day in disgust, and don't have a cd.. so could someone kindly post the latest on donating of blood, not simply that it is forbidden, but the latest where they say why they hold this position.. if i remember rightly, it was based entirely on the o.t injunction about "pouring out" the blood of a slain animal, but i need to be sure before i question jw's on this.. many thanks in advance, if you are able to help..

On my own computer again I was pregnant with our first kid, and I was really looking to build a support network. We were still fairly new to the area and didn't really have any close friends or relatives nearby. Having been exposed to the idea that the dubs were this worldwide brotherhood who would drop everything to help each other, I was really attracted to that. And the love bombing that goes on until after you are baptized really played on my need to belong and be accepted.
